Getting Round The Course Easily With Golf Carts
from: Maxx Golf GuidesGolf may not be the most physically strenuous game in the world, but it can still take its toll on your body. One of the major exertions of golf is the large amount of walking you need to do between holes and shots. Whilst this is not a problem for the physically able player, many older or less physically able golfers find the kilometers of walking tough on their body. If this is the case for you, then you should look at using golf carts to make getting around the course easier. Golf carts come in a range of shapes and sizes, and whether you hire or buy one there are golf carts to suit all budgets. Here is a brief guide to getting around the course more easily using golf carts.
Why choose a golf cart?
The best reason to pick a cart for golfing is to help you get around the course easier. Golf courses are usually large expanses of ground, and for the elderly or those who find it hard to walk it can be a long way. Instead, getting a cart will allow you to get around the course more easily and not strain yourself between shots. Also, a golf cart will allow you to get around the course more quickly, allowing you to play rounds more often and making the golfing experience easier to fit into your leisure schedule.
Sort of buggy to choose
Golf carts and buggies come in a wide variety of shapes, size, styles and prices. If you are looking for something to simply get you and maybe one other person round your local courses easily, then pick something near the lower end of the scale that will do the job. However, if you need to get a lot of equipment around and a number of people, there are carts that can hold up to 8 people at once.
For those who live around a number of golf complexes and want to move between these complexes with ease, a road legal golf buggy is a good option. Buggies also come in gasoline engine and electric engine forms, as well as normal and 4x4 versions. Whether you are simply driving round the course or moving heavy items and going over rough terrain, there are golf carts for all types of purpose and for all budgets.
You don't even need to use the carts on the golf course. They can be used for a wide variety of other purposes, from museums and tourist attractions to apartments and military bases. Although used primarily for golf, the right golf carts can be useful in many other situations. As long as you shop around and pick one that suits your needs you will get the most out of your cart or buggy.
