His (Tiger's) affinity to win the Buick Invitational golf tournament is turning into a deferred payment plan for his commercial royalties. Tiger Woods promotes Buick, proclaims to make the Buick car the “one he drives,” and wins every Buick Invitational golf tournament.
The unwritten consolation is for him to get handed the Buick Invitational golf tournament for the duration of his marketing contract with tournament entitled auto manufacturer. The other pro golfers at the top of the field are just pulling straws to decide who will play (in theory) on final round Sunday.
